I just painted this yesterday ... from 3 till 10. Still have the background to do. It will be oils glazes, thats why I'm doing it last. Almost done! 

Dramatic lighting.  I keep wondering who will my models be after I graduate?

Editorial painting

A lot of new work this year! Some painting in photoshop, which was frustrating to print correctly. Some traditional painting with acrylics on wood. And animation! What? Yes! I'm learning after effects. It's harder than I thought. This new time element is very different than what I am used to.

This piece was so fun! it goes along an article about sleep, insomnia, and mattresses. Made me fall asleep twice. But the art for it was fun to do. This guy is inside a pill, floating above some cloud like forms, while desperately trying to fall asleep.

This is a new piece I am working on. It goes along a story about a girl and her crazy mother. This was my favorite angle.

Sketched 3 possible backgrounds. Liked the scratch marks better. although the flowers would have been fun, but thats not what it is about.

This is for an article on sleep, insomnia, matresses, and fluffy pillows. I might have fallen asleep reading it and I am working on the color version right now. Not too happy with it yet.

Hello, I am Andrea and I really love creating the look and feel of any project anyone is working on, by having many resources, staying on task, and coming up with ideas fast.

My boss trusted me to teach the summer art workshop classes in his gallery, when he went away on vacation, and I intern at a Costume Design Studio, saving the owner time and money by helping with any part of the construction of a garment. 

I am bilingual and a people person. I hardly give up and I am always looking for new projects. My teachers have always felt that they have done well and that I go past the requirements. My employers are excited to make me part of a team, and bring life back to work. I really like working with others, and being part of a larger picture.

Some figures from painting class. I love painting people, to capture likenesses is so much fun, frustrating at times, but always fun. These are portraits in which i started with a  color wash first to achieve the overall color.
